The next generation of maritime leaders gained a closer look at the digital transformation of our industry during a study visit to COSCO SHIPPING Technology.

🚢 Strengthening Pacific connectivity with the launch of CHX3

COSCO SHIPPING Lines has launched the Chancay Express Service 3 (CHX3), the first regular weekly feeder service connecting Paita and Chancay in Peru with Caldera in Costa Rica.

This new service creates a more efficient gateway for trade across the Pacific. As a key container and cold-chain hub in northern , Paita serves important agricultural, seafood, mining and manufacturing regions. Through CHX3, cargo can now move directly to Puerto de Chancay - Cosco Shipping Ports Chancay Perú, where it connects seamlessly with mainline services bound for Asia.

For exporters, this means:
⏩ Faster access to Asian markets
👍 Reduced inland logistics and warehousing costs
📈 Lower container dwell times and greater supply chain efficiency
🥑 Enhanced support for temperature-sensitive cargo such as avocados, grapes and seafood

The service also creates new opportunities for customers in , with cargo from Caldera benefiting from improved connectivity, shorter overall transit times and enhanced service reliability.

🏆 Another world record in offshore energy installation!
⚡Specialized Carriers has successfully completed the DP float-over installation of the Yangjiang Sanshandao 2GW Offshore HVDC Station using the semi-submersible vessel Xiang Tai Kou.

💪 Completed on 23 July, the project set a new for the heaviest DP float-over installation, with a total installation weight of nearly 30,000 tonnes! This achievement comes just one month after the successful completion of another 2GW offshore HVDC installation, making it the company's second record-breaking project in two months.

👉 Using its advanced dynamic positioning system, Xiang Tai Kou installed the converter station with centimetre-level accuracy, completing the critical load transfer in less than two hours.

💚 Once operational, the project will deliver around 6 billion kWh of clean electricity annually, reducing CO₂ emissions by an estimated 4.63 million tonnes per year.

This marks the 29th successful DP float-over installation completed by COSCO SHIPPING Specialized Carriers, further reinforcing its position as a leader in the and installation of large-scale infrastructure.
