Being prepared can make all the difference.

Colleagues at our Cologne location recently took part in first aid training, refreshing their knowledge and putting essential skills into practice. From responding correctly in an emergency to the recovery position and CPR, the focus was firmly on knowing how to act when help is needed.

Because workplace safety is about more than procedures and regulations. It is also about looking out for one another, taking responsibility and having the confidence to step in.

A big thank you to everyone who took part and committed their time to learning skills that can make a real difference.

And, of course, we hope they never have to use them.

Saturday in Zhuhai proved one thing: there's a lot more talent at MBS than logistics. 🎤

Our teams from across China and Vietnam came together for the MBS Asia Annual Party 2026. Kayaking and team challenges by day, a proper talent show by night.

Every MBS Logistics office had prepared its own performance: singing, dancing, comedy and plenty of surprises. Rehearsed together after work, built as a team and finally delivered with an incredible amount of energy and dedication.

To everyone who stepped on stage, and everyone who made the day and evening happen behind it: thank you very, very much. You're the reason this is a special place 👏

Golf for a good cause. ⛳️

Yesterday, MBS Logistics took part in the It's for Kids Golf Cup at Golf Club Düsseldorf Hubbelrath.

Our CEO and shareholder Joerg Roehl and shareholder Johannes Steckel joined customers on the course to support an important initiative. The proceeds benefit the Mutwald project, which creates positive experiences for children affected by cancer and gives them moments of strength, confidence and joy.

For us, is also about looking beyond our day-to-day business, taking responsibility and supporting causes that make a real difference.

A great day with an even greater purpose.

Four weeks in, and logistics already looks different.

At the beginning of August, our new trainees (Auszubildende) started their apprenticeship at MBS Logistics in Cologne. Since then, they have taken their first steps into different areas of the business, and gained a first real impression of what logistics means in practice.

After their first few weeks, we asked them what stood out most.

For Slobodanka in Ocean Freight Import, it was the variety of work in freight forwarding and the number of steps behind a single shipment.

For Henry in Air Freight Export, it was the trust he experienced early on: being able to take on tasks independently so soon, while feeling warmly welcomed by the team.

For Zeynep in Warehouse Operations, it was how quickly she felt comfortable at MBS Logistics and how much she enjoys being part of the team.

Different departments, different first impressions, but one thing comes through clearly: our trainees are already part of the work, the teams and the daily rhythm of logistics.

That is what makes an apprenticeship at MBS Logistics valuable: learning by doing, taking on responsibility and discovering how much coordination, care and teamwork sits behind every shipment.

We are happy to have our new trainees with us and look forward to seeing them continue to grow.

Sometimes nobody knows where we’re going.
That was exactly the plan. 😉

Our Hamburg colleagues recently came together for their annual summer party. Instead of simply sharing an address, the evening started at the office with a draw: teams were picked at random, and the route was part of the experience.

From there, the teams set off on a scavenger hunt through the city. At each stop, there were tasks to solve, proof photos to take and plenty of moments that called for teamwork, creativity and a good sense of humour. 👍

The final destination? A relaxed evening with food from the grill, cold drinks and time to enjoy each other’s company away from the day-to-day business.

A great example of how team spirit grows: through shared experiences, good conversations and plenty of fun along the way.

✈️ Outbound by air: 3 days.
⚓ Inbound by sea: six weeks.

Different modes. Different priorities. Both the right call.

For the 10th Beijing International Art Biennale, MBS Logistics supported the journey of artworks by artists based across Germany, from collection by truck to exhibition and safely back again.

Before the opening, timing was critical. The works were collected from studios in cities including Leipzig, Munich and Hanover, consolidated at our Cologne warehouse, cleared for export and flown via Frankfurt to Beijing.

Because an opening date does not move.

After the exhibition, the priorities changed. With more time available, sea freight from Tianjin to Rotterdam offered the right balance of safety, reliability and cost efficiency.

Since early July, the artworks have been back in Cologne and returned to their artists.

Eight months. Two continents. Three transport modes.
And every artwork returned safely, intact and exactly as intended.
