Sometimes nobody knows where we’re going.
That was exactly the plan. 😉

Our Hamburg colleagues recently came together for their annual summer party. Instead of simply sharing an address, the evening started at the office with a draw: teams were picked at random, and the route was part of the experience.

From there, the teams set off on a scavenger hunt through the city. At each stop, there were tasks to solve, proof photos to take and plenty of moments that called for teamwork, creativity and a good sense of humour. 👍

The final destination? A relaxed evening with food from the grill, cold drinks and time to enjoy each other’s company away from the day-to-day business.

A great example of how team spirit grows: through shared experiences, good conversations and plenty of fun along the way.

✈️ Outbound by air: 3 days.
⚓ Inbound by sea: six weeks.

Different modes. Different priorities. Both the right call.

For the 10th Beijing International Art Biennale, MBS Logistics supported the journey of artworks by artists based across Germany, from collection by truck to exhibition and safely back again.

Before the opening, timing was critical. The works were collected from studios in cities including Leipzig, Munich and Hanover, consolidated at our Cologne warehouse, cleared for export and flown via Frankfurt to Beijing.

Because an opening date does not move.

After the exhibition, the priorities changed. With more time available, sea freight from Tianjin to Rotterdam offered the right balance of safety, reliability and cost efficiency.

Since early July, the artworks have been back in Cologne and returned to their artists.

Eight months. Two continents. Three transport modes.
And every artwork returned safely, intact and exactly as intended.

After supporting the transport of “Vital Architecture – Between Idealism and Reality” from Beijing to Berlin, MBS Logistics was once again chosen as logistics partner as the exhibition continued its journey from Berlin to Barcelona.

Our teams once again applied the care and attention to detail required for sensitive architectural models, exhibition materials and custom-built crates, ensuring that the next stage of the project was handled just as reliably as the first.

Next stop: Shanghai.

Following the recently announced planned acquisition of MBS Logistics by AD Ports Group, our Shanghai team welcomed Jochen Thewes, CEO Logistics Cluster at AD Ports Group, for direct exchange and personal conversations.

The visit gave colleagues the chance to hear first-hand perspectives on AD Ports Group and Noatum Logistics, ask questions in an open setting and learn more about the transaction, which remains subject to customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.

A sincere thank you to Jochen for taking the time to visit our Shanghai team, introduce AD Ports Group and Noatum Logistics, and engage so openly with our colleagues.
