Some airlines now refuse to refund their passengers for recent canceled flights. We wanted to remind you that, in regards of the 261 European regulation, airlines must offer to refund their passenger. Even with the COVID-19 outbreak, this remains the same. Airlines must pay back the ticket price for cancelled flights to consumers and travel agencies. Of course airlines can ask for a credit from their customers by only issuing a voucher, but it must be the choice of the customer; after all they are the creditors now.
