Mittlerweile sind von allen Figuren von Fredericus Rex neue Abgussformen erstellt worden und die Sets sind wieder komplett im Shop. Neu dazu gekommen sind gerüstete Bogenschützen und Einzelfiguren, die Conny als Metzger und Arbeiter gekennzeichnet hat. Ich weiß nicht genau, ob die neuen Bogenschützen, sowie die Metzger und Arbeiter aus Valdemar-Sets stammen oder Eigenfiguren von Conny sind. Jeder Hinweis wird dankbar angenommen. In the meantime, new moulds have been created for all Fredericus Rex figures and the sets are once again available in the shop. New additions include armoured archers and individual figures that Conny has labelled as butchers and labourers. I am not sure whether the new archers, butchers and labourers are from Valdemar sets or are Conny's own figures. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Photos of the archers, butchers and labourers are attached.

Leider habe ich eine traurige Nachricht für Euch. Petra Schulte ist am 12.01. leider viel zu früh verstorben.

Dies ist die neue Version des Holzhauses. Mit einem Steinsockel und eine Idee höher, aber es funktioniert. Alles aus Finnpappe und Graupappe. Für den Sockel müssen 3 3mm Finnpappeteile übereinander geklebt werden, anschließend kann dann die "Steinumrandung" angeklebt werden.

Nun werde ich mich mal an die Wild-West Häuser wagen

This is the new version of the wooden house. It has a stone base and is a little taller, but it works. Everything is made of Finnboard and greyboard. For the base, three 3 mm Finnboard pieces must be glued on top of each other, then the ‘stone border’ can be glued on.

Now I'm going to try my hand at Wild West houses.

Und nun das nächste Projekt. Von diesem Holzhaus sind alle Dateien da, aber leider nicht die Bodenplatte. Die "Bodenplatte" hat Conny als Resinteil gestaltet. Mir fehlen aber Master, Silikonform und zudem leider auch die Dateien. Ich bin nun dabei, diese fehlenden Dateien wieder herzustellen und dann alles zu lasern. Unsicher bin ich noch, ob ich dann auch ein Resinteil herstellen soll oder die gelaserte Teile liefern soll.

And now the next project. All the files for this wooden house are there, but unfortunately not the base plate. . Conny designed the ‘base plate’ as a resin part. However, I am missing the master, silicone mould and, unfortunately, the files. I am now in the process of recreating these missing files and then laser cutting everything. I am still unsure whether I should also produce a resin part or just deliver the laser-cut parts.

Und jetzt ist auch die Getreidemühle wieder lieferbar. Meine Kamera hat einige Probleme mit dem hellen Resin. Woher Conny die Esel hatte, weiß ich leider nicht

And now the grain mill is available again. My camera has some problems with the light-coloured resin. Unfortunately, I don't know where Conny got the donkeys from.

Zwei Fassungen von dem Stadtmauerabschnitt (je nachdem, was nach dem Guss aus der Form kommt ;-) ) und einmal Fotos von den verschiedenen Bauabschnitten und damit wieder was vollständig reaktiviert.

In der nächsten Woche gehe ich an die römische Getreidemühle. Da hat jetzt Petra die Silikonform des Mühlsteins "gefunden", aber beim ersten Guß hat sich die Silikonform des Daches verabschiedet. Da ich da aber den Master habe, werde ich dann in der nächsten Woche eine neue Form gießen

Two versions of the city wall section (depending on what comes out of the mould after casting ;-) ) and photos of the various construction stages, which means everything is fully reactivated again.

Next week, I'll be working on the Roman grain mill. Petra has now ‘found’ the silicone mould for the millstone, but the silicone mould for the roof broke during the first casting. However, as I have the master, I will cast a new mould in the next week.

Conny Schulte hatte auch mal Sockelschilder angeboten. Ich habe jetzt mal ein wenig mit dem Lasercutter rumgespielt und verschiedene Motive und Schriften ausprobiert, um zu sehen, was der Laser daraus macht. Diese Schilder hier sind max. 45 x 34 mm groß. Alles noch Testversionen, aber es funktioniert, wobei die Schilder wegen der glänzenden Oberfläche schwer zu fotografieren oder scannen sind. Vorhanden sind zwei verschiedenen Silber- und zwei Goldtöne. Ich probiere mal auch die anderen Farben und sehe dann weiter. Danach kann ich im Shop die Funktion für die Sockelschilder wieder frei schalten

Conny Schulte also offered base plates at one point. I've been playing around with the laser cutter a bit and trying out different designs and fonts to see what the laser can do with them. These plates are max. 45 x 34 mm in size. They're all still test versions, but it works, although the plates are difficult to photograph or scan because of their shiny surface. There are two different silver and two gold tones available. I'll try the other colours and see how it goes. After that, I can reactivate the base plate function in the shop.

Mal- und Bastelworkshops gibt es leider viel zu wenig. Diese Fotos stammen von einem Maltag in Altena vor vielen, vielen Jahren. Aber mit auf einem Foto ist Conny Schulte, der lange Jahre in Bettinghausen immer im Oktober ein Malwochenende angeboten hat. Petra und meine Wenigkeit haben uns gedacht, warum nicht mal wieder. Deshalb haben wir für das letzte Oktoberwochenende, genau vom 24. - 26.10., den Saal im Landgasthof Vogt, Lange Str. 44, 59505 Bad Sassendorf gebucht und auch schon einige Zimmer vorsichtshalber reserviert. Der Mal-, Bastel- und Modelbauworkshop startet am 24.10. ab 15.00 Uhr und endet am 26.10 auch gegen 15.00 - 16.00 Uhr.

Zu Gast sein werden Marion und Alan Ball, die bestimmt einige gute Tipps und Hilfestellungen geben werden.

Und nun zu den Kosten: Teilnehmergebühr 20,00 Euro, die vorab überwiesen werden müssen. Erst nach Eingang ist der Teilnehmerplatz gebucht. Einzelzimmer mit Frühstück kostet 58,00 Euro. Es sind auch Doppelzimmer zu haben. Ansonsten kommt noch dazu, was Ihr im Gasthof Essen und Trinken wollt. Ich werde die Zimmer für die Teilnehmer buchen

Unfortunately, there are far too few painting and modelling workshops. These photos are from a painting day in Altena many, many years ago. But one of the photos shows Conny Schulte, who organised a painting weekend in Bettinghausen every October for many years. Petra and I thought why not organise it again. That's why we booked space in the Landgasthof Vogt, Lange Str. 44, 59505 Bad Sassendorf for the last weekend in October, exactly from 24 - 26 October, and have already reserved a few rooms as a precaution. The painting, model building and handicraft workshop will start on 24 October at 3.00 pm and end on 26 October at around 3.00 - 4.00 pm.

The guests will be Marion and Alan Ball, who are sure to give some good tips and help.

And now to the costs: Participation fee 20.00 euros, which must be transferred in advance. The participant's place is only booked after receipt. A single room with breakfast costs 58.00 euros. Double rooms are also available. Otherwise, you will have to pay what you want to eat and drink at the inn. I will book the rooms for all participants

Conny hatte in seinem Shop auch Teile des Römerlagers in Haltern angeboten. Das Haupttor, Mauerteile und einen einfachen Turm in der Mauer. Irgendwann hatte er diesen einfachen Turm in Silikon abgeformt und den Turm hauptsächlich in Resin dem Bausatz beigelegt (Die ersten beiden Fotos). Allerdings habe ich weder die Master, die Silikonformen noch einen Abguss gefunden. Aber einige Dateien waren noch da. Ich habe jetzt alles aus Finnpappe gelasert, einige Teile neu hinzu gefügt, andere mussten "nachgebessert" werden. Die letzten beiden Fotos zeigen den Bausatz, so wie er jetzt angeboten wird. Zwei Mauerteile und der einfache Turm. Die beiden Legionäre hatte ich hier noch "rumstehen" und dachte, im Turm sehen sie besser aus.

Conny had also offered parts of the Roman camp in Haltern in his shop. The main gate, wall parts and a simple tower in the wall. At some point he had moulded this simple tower in silicone and added the tower mainly in resin to the kit (first two photos). However, I have not found the masters, the silicone moulds or a cast. But some files were still there. I have now laser-cut everything from fin cardboard, added some new parts, others had to be ‘touched up’. The last two photos show the kit as it is now offered. Two wall parts and the simple tower. I still had the two legionaries ‘standing around’ here and thought they would look better in the tower.

Und nun ist auch Gl-GEB-025 (späte Motte oder Wehrturm) wieder im Programm und die Dateien der nächsten Türme (u.a. Gl-GEB-028 Schalenturm oder Backofenturm) werden konvertiert.
Ich werde in den nächsten Tagen alle Gebäude im Shop freischalten. Ich habe natürlich immer noch nicht alle Dateien überprüft und konvertiert und bin auch nicht sicher, welche Überraschungen ich noch erlebe.

Deshalb werde ich die Lieferzeit bei allen noch nicht überprüften Gebäuden auf 3 – 4 Wochen setzen. Es kann sein, dass ich mal eine Bestellung ablehnen muss, da irgendwelche Teile fehlen oder nicht hergestellt werden können. Petra Schulte und ich suchen z.B. immer noch Dachreiter aus Zinn.

Aber im Normalfall werde ich wieder alles liefern können. Langsam, aber sicher

And now Gl-GEB-025 (late Motte or defence tower) is also back in the programme and the files for the next towers (including Gl-GEB-028 shell tower or oven tower) are being converted.
I will activate all buildings in the shop in the next few days. Of course, I still haven't checked and converted all the files and I'm not sure what surprises I'll encounter.

I will therefore set the delivery time for all buildings that have not yet been checked to 3 - 4 weeks. I may have to refuse an order because some parts are missing or cannot be produced. Petra Schulte and I are still looking for pewter roof riders, for example.

But normally I will be able to deliver everything again. Slowly, but surely
