Last week, we gave our clients the chance to see it firsthand. We visited the Baltic Hub in Gdansk, the largest container terminal in the Baltic Sea region, and learned more about its operations and future plans.

Are you curious about how the journey of our owner, Dusan Jamny, and his team is going as they follow the route of polar explorer Shackleton? We have a small update and a greeting directly from him! 🧭

After visiting Nelson Island, the team continued their trip and after a few days arrived at South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands. They visited the former whaling stations Grytviken and Husvik Harbour, which feel like paradise thanks to the amazing views of penguins and seals in their natural habitat.

The team then continued their journey back to the port of Ushuaia (ARG), where their expedition will end. 🔚

We are bringing you more updates from the Antarctic expedition, which our company owner, Dusan Jamny, is taking part in.
Below you will find the travel schedule. The photos are accompanied by comments directly from Dusan himself.

JAN 8 – Departure from the port of Ushuaia (ARG). ⛵

JAN 13 – Arrival at Nelson Island and a visit to the Czech station CZ*ECO, built in 1988 by Czech adventurer J. Pavlicek.

JAN 15 – Sailing past the Esperanza Antarctic Base, another landing on the mainland, and a warm welcome from the penguins. 🐧

In the last photo, you can see Dusan’s travel companions — Jiri Kolbaba, always ready with his camera, and Jiri Maderic, who is wearing some awesome boots! 🩴

Shackleton-style expedition has already reached its first stop: the CZ*ECO Nelson field camp and there are first shots of the year from the Southern Hemisphere.

The expedition following in Shackleton’s footsteps set off on Friday 09-JAN from Ushuaia (ARG). On board the sailing vessel Selma are two representatives of Český antarktický nadační fond (Czech Antarctic Foundation): founder Dusan Jamny and board member, the Rector of Brno University of Technology, Ladislav Janceek. Wishing them a safe journey! 🙌
