Recently in the Polymer Week Society, we introduced Kate Lee Foley, an Australian artist whose work with polymer clay is full of colour, and intricate patterns. 🥳

While preparing her feature, we came across this beautiful bowl she created using the Czextruder and our triangle discs. We thought it would be a lovely piece to share as an extra inspiration with you. 🤗

Kate has also been doing the 100-day challenge, pushing her work further day by day and discovering new possibilities along the way.

If you’re curious to learn more about her journey, her gallery space, and what she’s planning next, you can find the full interview at www.polymerweeksociety.com

Looking to refine your earring-making skills? 👀

In this class created for the Clay Earring Maker Summit, Lucy Štruncová takes a different approach to the mokume gane technique, exploring radial, spiderweb-like patterns and transforming them into a pair of contemporary earrings.

Along the way, you will discover many practical tips for working with polymer clay, including:

• how to use the Czextruder effectively
• how to build clean, convex shapes
• and how to achieve a refined finish, even on the back side of your earrings

Enjoy the full video class inside the Earring Clay Summit 💛

It all started with a thrift store vase. The best kind of starting point. 🤚🏻

Lucy transformed it using playful circular shapes built from extruded polymer clay, turning a simple object into something vibrant and full of character.

Easy to make and full of colour, this project is perfect if you’re looking to brighten up your space with a unique piece of home decor. 🧡

This past weekend, a group of the Spanish polymer clay community came together with Lucy Štruncová and Sara Amrhein in Barcelona, and had a wonderful time claying together. 🥳

We are happy that the Czextruder was part of it. Working with extruded elements within Lucy’s mosaic brooch class, everyone created brooches full of vibrant colors and really interesting details.

Have a look at some of the moments from the weekend. ✨

Would you travel for a class like this? 👀

Since connecting Polymer Week and Lucy Clay, we’ve had the opportunity to work with and spotlight talented artists from both worlds. 🧡

From time to time, you’ll see these projects naturally overlap across our platforms, just like in this inspiring article featuring Irish artist Louise O’Hara.

Louise is a proud owner of the LC Machine and creates contemporary earrings with precision and playful variations.

In the article, we share her journey from early experiments at the kitchen table to building her own brand and navigating the reality of running a creative business.

A little peek into Lucy’s studio, where we are finishing another tutorial to be published soon on our website. 💙

This time, the initial plan was quite different. The polymer clay was too soft to hold a geometric pattern, so the process shifted along the way. By exploring a more intuitive approach, Lucy transformed the design into a softer, more organic, dot-like structure.

It’s one of those patterns you can keep stretching into strips and reducing further and further, revealing new variations each time.😊
