✅ A groundbreaking new feature in Google's connection finder and maps.

ℹ Until recently, official information on the location of IDS JMK vehicles, which includes public transport lines in Brno operated by DPMB, trains and regional buses, could only be found in the official IRIS, POSEIDON or DPMBInfo applications. Only these applications also displayed the current delays of trains, buses or trams. Now, however, a major change is taking place. The information on vehicle delays now includes the connection finder and Google maps.

KORDIS, after rather difficult negotiations with Google, has supplemented its systems with the necessary exports, tested and deployed the GTFS real service in full operation since the beginning of May. This also transmits data to the world-famous mapping, traffic and navigation systems operated under the Google brand name.

The Google application now works with the current delay when searching for a connection. It displays this information to the user and adjusts the searched connection depending on it. In addition, it also displays the current location of the vehicle. All lines operated under the IDS JMK banner are processed, i.e. urban transport lines in Brno operated by DPMB, trains and regional buses.

👉 Interestingly, the application also displays current text information from KORDIS dispatchers and DPMB dispatchers in case of an emergency on the route.

🥰 We believe that the refinement of the connection data will be beneficial for users and will facilitate their travel by public transport. On the next page are examples of the new service in practice.

ℹ As you already know from our website or Infomail, there have been minor changes in the JMK IDS since 1 May 2023, so we will remind you of them now:

🟢 From 1 May 2023, the timetables and routes of public transport lines in Znojmo have been slightly modified. On almost all lines a slight extension of journey times (lines 802, 804, 807, 809. There were also adjustments to selected regional lines of the IDS JMK, more at www.idsjmk.cz

🟢 Minor changes were also made to the Contractual Conditions of Carriage of IDS JMK as follows:

- the standard amount of the surcharge for a ride without a valid ticket is CZK 1,500 (unchanged),
- if the passenger pays the fine on the spot, the amount of the surcharge for a ride without a valid ticket is CZK 1,000,
- it is not possible to pay the fine additionally, either immediately on the spot for CZK 1,000 or later for CZK 1,500,
- additional proof of a forgotten prepaid ticket: in case of a fine from a KORDIS, ČD and other inspectors for CZK 50, in case of a fine from a DPMB inspector for CZK 100, the amount of the surcharge for any other violation of the SPP than a ride without a valid ticket is CZK 1000, the permission to transport electric scooters and other electric vehicles in DPMB vehicles on lines up to 100 is cancelled (everywhere else they are still allowed, even on lines of other carriers in Brno).

With the change of tariff from 1 March 2023 comes the need to replace existing tickets with new ones. Find out how the exchange will work in today's post:

🔴 Brno City Transport Company (DPMB)
- It is replacing all valid single tickets sold and produced by it with a possible additional payment for new ones, the money will not be refunded.
- Deadline: from 1 May to 31 July 2023 - working days 7.00 a.m. - 6.00 p.m.
- Place of exchange: DPMB a.s., Brno, Novobranská 18, dedicated sales counters on the ground floor

🔵 Czech Railways (ČD)
- It refunds money for unused tickets issued by ČD and for universal tickets, including partially used tickets. It is necessary to fill in the form and provide the account number for the transfer of funds. Please allow extra time for processing.
- Deadline: from 8 March to 7 June 2023.

🟢 Contact centres of IDS JMK
Contrary to initial assumptions, travel documents will not be exchanged.

❗️Tickets for 2 zones / 60 minutes do not need to be changed. ❗️

SWITCHING TO THE NEW TARIFF IN THE IDS JMK E-SHOP

Dear passengers,

❌ due to a change in the Tariff, it is now possible to purchase prepaid tickets in the e-shop with validity until 28 February 2023.

Tickets with a later validity date will be sold from 1. 3. 2023.

You can buy tickets in monthly, quarterly or the most advantageous annual versions.
