Direct Fly delivers 10 Alto NG aircraft for Ukrainian pilots training

Czech company Direct Fly has successfully delivered ten single-engine training aircraft for training new pilots in Ukraine. The aircraft will be used to support training for the Ukrainian Air Force, which now conducts regular combat operations with, for example, Lockheed Martin F-16 and Dassault Aviation Mirage 2000 aircraft.
The coordination and financing were carried out by the Czech state and the Gift for Putin donor initiative. Five aircraft were provided by the Czech government as part of the international Air Force Capability Coalition, and another five were financed through voluntary citizen fundraising.
The ALTO NG aircraft is two-seat single-engine plane with modern avionics, suitable for basic and transitional pilot training. The deployment of these aircraft will allow for a significant reduction in the cost per flight hour and accelerate the transition of pilots to Western fighter aircraft in accordance with NATO standards.

The initiative also included training Ukrainian pilots and mechanics on the new aircraft type. After successful handover, the aircraft can be put directly into service and cover the necessary domestic training capacities.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has also published a report on the takeover of the aircraft on its website. The delivery of the ALTO NG represents a practical and rapid way to increase the number of trained pilots directly on Ukrainian territory. At the same time, it will also enable the gradual development of Ukraine’s own modern training infrastructure, reduce the financial burden of training, and streamline the preparation of new pilots for operational deployment.
Direct Fly has been engaged in serial production of aircraft since 2006. In addition to the
Alto NG, its portfolio also includes the new high-wing STOL Cruiser aircraft. The coordination of this project with Czech and foreign partners opens up new opportunities for the company to further cooperate at the international level.

On August 12, 2026, a unique solar eclipse occurred. In the Czech Republic, a partial eclipse, approx. 86%, was observed in some places on the globe, but a total eclipse was also observed. This unique spectacle was not missed by some pilots who decided to watch everything from the air. One of our Alto even got into the frame and this great photo was created.

12. srpna 2026 došlo k unikátnímu zatmění slunce. Na území České republiky částečnému, cca. 86%, na některých místech zeměkoule však šlo pozorovat i zatmění úplné.Tuto unikátní podívanou si nenechali ujít ani někteří piloti, kteří se rozhodli vše sledovat ze vzduchu. Jedno naše Alto se dokonce přimotalo do záběru a vznikla z toho tato super fotografie.

Společnost Direct Fly úspěšně dodala 10 letounů Alto NG pro výcvik ukrajinských pilotů

Česká společnost Direct Fly úspěšně dodala deset jednomotorových cvičných letounů pro výcvik nových pilotů na Ukrajině. Letouny budou použity k podpoře výcviku pro ukrajinské letectvo, které nyní provádí pravidelné bojové operace například s letouny Lockheed Martin F-16 a Dassault Aviation Mirage 2000.
Na koordinaci a financování se podílel český stát a dárcovská iniciativa Dárek pro Putina. Pět letounů bylo poskytnuto českou vládou v rámci mezinárodní Koalice pro schopnosti letectva, dalších pět bylo financováno prostřednictvím dobrovolné občanské sbírky.
Letouny ALTO NG jsou dvoumístné jednomotorové stroje s moderní avionikou, vhodné pro základní i přechodový výcvik pilotů. Nasazení těchto strojů umožní razantně snížit náklady na letovou hodinu a urychlit přechod pilotů na západní stíhací techniku v souladu se standardy NATO.
Součástí iniciativy bylo též zaškolení ukrajinských pilotů a mechaniků na nový typ letounu. Po úspěšném předání se tak letadla mohou zařadit přímo do provozu a pokrýt potřebné domácí výcvikové kapacity.
Zprávu o převzetí letadel již na svých webových stránkách zveřejnilo také Ministerstvo obrany Ukrajiny. Dodávka ALTO NG představuje praktický a rychlý způsob, jak zvýšit počet vycvičených pilotů přímo na ukrajinském území. Zároveň též umožní postupné budování vlastní moderní výcvikové infrastruktury, snížení finanční náročnosti výcviku a zefektivní přípravu nových pilotů pro operační nasazení.
Společnost Direct Fly se zabývá sériovou výrobou letadel již od roku 2006. Součástí jejího portfolia je kromě Alto NG i nový hornoplošný letoun STOL Cruiser. Koordinace tohoto projektu s českými a zahraničními partnery tak otevírá firmě nové možnosti k další spolupráci na mezinárodní úrovni.
