Exploring ultra low global warming potential gases for insulation in high-voltage technology: Experiments and modelling” is a three year research project whose primary aim is to combine the experimental and theoretical work in order to determine the insulation characteristics of ultra low GWP gases and to consider the potential use of those gases for applications in high‐voltage power equipment. T

he long term goal of this project will be to develop the experimental infrastructure and theoretical basis for accurate measurements and advanced modelling of charged-particle transport properties with the aim of predicting the insulation characteristics of strongly electronegative gases.
