🚗⚠️ Rutas alternativas para evitar el terrible embotellamiento del puente Tárcoles ⚠️🚗

Anoche estuvimos sentados en el tráfico de 6:00 pm a 10:00 pm 😅… y créannos, no es la mejor forma de empezar (o terminar) sus vacaciones.

👉 Por la mañana temprano normalmente no está tan mal.
👉 Pero en las tardes y noches… es otra historia.

Si van rumbo a Parrita, Quepos, Manuel Antonio o Dominical, estas son dos buenas opciones:

✅ San José → Puriscal → Parrita
• Apta para todo tipo de vehículo
• Menos tráfico que Tárcoles
• Aproximadamente 1h45

✅ San José → Acosta → Parrita
• Ruta más tranquila y escénica
• Evita presas en Tárcoles
• Aproximadamente 2h

A veces vale la pena manejar un poco más para ahorrar horas de estrés. 🙌

🦎✨ Meet Costa Rica’s legendary Basilisk Lizard — better known as the Jesus Christ Lizard!

This incredible reptile earned its nickname thanks to its amazing ability to run across the surface of water when escaping predators. Using lightning-fast legs and special fringed toes, it can literally sprint over rivers and ponds before slipping back into a swim. 🌊⚡

Basilisks are usually found near rivers, streams, and wetlands throughout Costa Rica, especially in the Caribbean lowlands and central Pacific. Males are easy to spot with their dramatic crests and long tails. They can grow up to 2.5 feet long!

🐢✨ The Leatherback Sea Turtle is the gentle giant of Costa Rica’s oceans — and the largest sea turtle in the world! Growing up to 6–7 feet long and weighing as much as a small car, these incredible creatures have been swimming our seas for over 100 million years. 🌊🌍

Unlike other turtles, leatherbacks don’t have a hard shell but a leathery, flexible back that helps them dive deeper than any other reptile — sometimes over 4,000 feet! 🐠⚓

In Costa Rica, the best place to see them is Las Baulas National Marine Park in Guanacaste, where they nest between October and March. Watching a leatherback mama come ashore at night to lay her eggs is an unforgettable, humbling experience. 🌙✨
