A sudden! Large parts of an Amazon warehouse collapse after tornadoes hit six us states.
Friday night local time, a powerful storm and tornado struck the United States, Illinois in the Midwest and the south, the United States, Illinois, Kentucky, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and the state of Missouri were tornado, many buildings were extremely serious damage, a large number of casualties.
An Amazon warehouse in Edwardsville, Illinois, where about 100 people were working, collapsed on a large scale, flattening a wall longer than a football field, according to media reports.
Six people were confirmed dead as of Friday afternoon at the Amazon warehouse, which had more than 50 employees inside at the time of the collapse, according to the latest information from the local fire department.
Amazon CEO Andy Jassy said on the social media platform that the victims are heartbroken and are working with the local community to rescue and deal with the aftermath.
The tornadoes knocked out power to more than 330,000 customers in four of those states, according to the U.S. Power Tracker.
