✈️ Throwback Thursday — C-GRWS

Throwing it back to this WestJet Boeing 737-700 at Winnipeg Richardson International Airport in 2022. What made C-GRWS especially memorable was the “007” marking on the nose landing gear door, a tribute to James Bond—a little detail that made this aircraft stand out from the rest of the WestJet fleet.

C-GRWS has since been replaced by a Boeing 737 MAX 8, but the original GRWS and its 007 detail remain a great YWG spotting memory.

At first glance, it looks familiar—but this isn’t the C-GRWS many of us remember.

The original Boeing 737-700, affectionately known by many as “007,” has since retired, and the registration now lives on aboard a Boeing 737 MAX 8.

Same registration. New aircraft. A new chapter in WestJet’s fleet as the airline continues its transition to the MAX.

SPOTTER IN TRAINING….
I left my camera attachment in my other bag last night for Fly With Justin ‘s arrival. So I gave my phone to my little one.
And this isn’t his first try at all. Last year he was gifted a device with a camera. He was at LAX taking pictures of planes with it. So proud of my boy!

CF-18 OUTSIDE MY WINDOW…
While teaching a class at work today, the lesson was interrupted by the sound of a fighter jet going around the building. Looking out the window from the classroom, we can see a CF-18 doing laps around the airport.
