de of Wiarton, Ontario, Canada. We are a Canada Customs Airport of Entry and a Transport Canada Certified facility with services available 365 days per year. The airport has two runways and a joining taxiway system, and a public apron. The secondary runway has a compact gravel surface. The airport provides both AVGAS and Jet A with additive, aircraft parking areas and hosts a public terminal building with a pilot's lounge, accompanied with a private shower, that is available 24 hours per day. The terminal building was dedicated to Eileen Vollick, the first licensed female pilot in Canada. The airport offers a full-service restaurant named The Hungry Hangar. It was established in 2019 to allow their guests to enjoy gourmet food and satisfy their sweet tooth, in a relaxing atmosphere. The airport also offers accessible, affordable, and dependable transportation through the Grey Transit Route. They offer bus transit to the surrounding area! Wiarton airport tries to distinguish itself in a competitive marketplace by providing services and facilities that enhance our customer's experience and strategically meet their evolving needs. : After a thorough recruitment and selection process, the Township of Georgian Bluffs is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Cynthia Fletcher as Chief Administrative Officer.

Ms. Fletcher brings over 22 years of public sector leadership experience, with the Public School Board, City of Kitchener and most recently as the Commissioner of Infrastructure and Planning Services with the City of Peterborough. She has formal training in Engineering, Social Work, Leadership Development and Project Management. She has extensive experience guiding diverse teams, facilitating many partnership opportunities and leading major strategic planning initiatives.

In anticipation of her new role, Ms. Fletcher noted: "I would like to thank Mayor Burley and Council for trusting me as the Township’s next CAO. Every municipality has been through an extraordinary
time over the past couple of years and I plan to support the Township through pandemic recovery. I am excited about the prospects for Georgian Bluffs and can’t wait to meet our talented staff team. Over the next few weeks, our family will be transitioning to the area and familiarizing ourselves with our new community. I look forward to becoming connected within the Township and working with staff and Council on the important priorities for
our community".

Council of the Township of Georgian Bluffs is pleased to announce an agreement of purchase and sale has been established for the sale of the Wiarton Keppel International Airport.

This agreement is anticipated to close on December 17, 2021, at which time more information will be released to the public, including details regarding sale price, transition process and purchasing party.

"Council acknowledges the value of this asset to the community and will prioritize release of information once the agreement is finalized. We appreciate the public's interest in this matter and their patience as Council moves through the sale process".

The facility will continue to operate as a certified airport throughout the sale process.
