No rain, all gain! 🌞
The 2025 Spring Work Party on April 12–13 was a massive success — and for the first time in years, the skies stayed dry!

💪 52 Members and 30 boats showed up and got to work, knocking off a huge list of spring prep and maintenance at Ekins. New Members jumped in with both feet, and we got a ton done — though some major dock projects are still in progress.

1. building what’s shaping up to be a truly epic outhouse
2. Hard at work on the Annex dock repair
3. Overhauled the Galley and served up a next-level lunch

Special thanks to the Gibsons crew for power washing the docks in early April — giving us a clean start! And to the team, who kicked off the ramp stanchion replacement, aiming to wrap up by June.

Thunderbird Yacht Club is an exclusive community of boating enthusiasts situated in Howe Sound at Ekins Point on the serene north end of Gambier Island. With 2000 feet of dock space set in the calm and warm waters near Vancouver, our property is surrounded by 17 acres of lush west coast forest. Alongside the tranquil setting, members can enjoy various onshore amenities including camping areas, a playground, a Longhouse for special events, a fire lounge, pizza oven, WIFI access, warm water showers, and water slides on the docks. The club's facilities are lovingly owned and maintained by its members who take immense pride in the establishment.
