Josh, our director of operations is a Captain at the airline which I previously worked at as a flight attendant. After bugging him enough about it, he finally took me in and offered me a position as a pilot with Aspen Air.
At a young age my parents gave me a Lego airplane, while building it I was interested in all the parts and how things worked. That interest and curiosity for aviation never went away. And that led me to become a pilot.
If you weren’t a pilot, what would you be doing?
I would be joining a flight school to become a pilot
With being a small company, all the employees know each other very well. We can rely on and trust each-other to get the job done. We've also became a tight knit group of friends. After a flight, we'll often go out for dinner or play a round of golf.
I'd take it across the country to Tofino BC. Tofino is one of my favourite places to travel. Also, I've never gotten the chance to do any mountain flying. So flying to Tofino would check that off my list.
Consistency is key. While I was doing my pilot training, I was a customer service agent at YKF, as well as a flight attendant. While managing time for these jobs, it took away from my flight training progress. If I had allotted more time to fly more frequently, my training would have been much more efficient.
