Wasa Lake Warmest Lake in the Kootenay Wasa Lake was a favorite stop over for Stage coach routes to Golden BC and the CPR Mainline.

Located near 50N latitude, aside the Kootenay River in Canada's Rocky Mountains, Wasa Lake is home to Grand Hotel and Spa resort since 1897 opening of the Wasa Lake Hotel. First nations people have known the healing powers of the nearby Hot Springs since the glacial ice last melted away.
