Well, it's been a beat since we have posted, and that's usually because we take most of the summer off to recharge.

So to start off the 2nd half of the year, il leave you with some pictures of our summer!

Probably the biggest news of this summer is our sleepy town being hit be a tornado in July! No one was hurt thankfully, however there was quite a path of destruction. We lost our camper as a tree fell and gave it extra air conditioning.

Katie and I have spent time camping with family, and kayaking, getting Poppy used to the water and the kayaks. Its been a blast! We even got to deliver a memorial bench to its new owner!

Time to start getting ready for all of our fall shows. Now, if I can just get rid of this cold, it would all be better.

If you are looking for something to do this Thursday in Melfort, we will be at the 10th annual Back Alley Art Tour behind the Northen Light Gallery from 2pm-8pm.

We will be there with dozens of other artists showing and selling our pieces to the public.

Come on down and see what everyone has to offer. Find some neat treasures and hear some stories.

As always, any pre-orders can be purchased and brought to the show with no shipping charges.

New build alert!!!

Happy Canada Day!!

Rise up III $550 CAD+TAX

This is a 5 foot 3 triple flower made with rebar, bolts, washers, plate steel and a rotor. All the pieces have been welded, rusted and clearcoated with Matte finish

I've always wanted to make a bigger one such as this and the timing was just right.....also cut it a little close with the welding gas as I actually only had 1 tack left in the tank afterwards.....so I think I should buy a lottery ticket!

This coming weekend!!!!!

Join us in Candle Lake at the curling club Saturday July 4th and Sunday July 5th for the Christmas In July sale!!!

Vendors will be inside and outside, with so many wonderfull items for sale. If you have seen us there before, we are in the same spot inside the rink!!

We will have many new pieces and so many of the favorites.

As this sale is so busy, if there was something specific you were after, it may be a good idea to pre-purchase so that it is guaranteed to be there for you. Items go fast, and as always, any pre-orders can be picked up at the sale without a shipping charge.

Update!!

The bench has been delivered!!

Its permanent home is now in their garden and has been a conversation piece daily!!

We are so happy they love it and can't wait to make another

Update!!

The bench is complete and will be delivered this weekend !!!!

A couple of months back, I was approached by a sweet lady in Saskatoon to make a piece honoring her father. He is 97 and still mobile and loving life. After much discussion and her telling me about his life, we settled on a bench for the garden. What makes this special is that it will be made from all of his old tools that she has collected over the years. He was also an avid gardener and lived Lillies.

This is a special one as it is celebrating his continued life, and I am honored to be a part of it.

I had to make a small structural frame, just for strength, as most of the tools are cast iron, and that doesn't hold well structurally.

The bench is 44" across and 36" high overall. It will be rusted after and coated to preserve. The seat will be made of old elevator wood.

This turned out beautifully,and it seemed to flow without any issues. Which is surprising as it's my first bench. I know that we would be proud to have it in our home.

As many of you know, my true love, in creating with metal, is getting the opportunity to do custom commissioned pieces for people.

A couple of months back, I was approached by a sweet lady in Saskatoon to make a piece honoring her father. He is 97 and still mobile and loving life. After much discussion and her telling me about his life, we settled on a bench for the garden. What makes this special is that it will be made from all of his old tools that she has collected over the years. He was also an avid gardener and lived Lillies.

This is a special one as it is celebrating his continued life, and I am honored to be a part of it. Now, most of you know that I claim to really not draw anything out before I build.....however this "scribble" is all i did to start this.
