🚨 THE DEMAND IS GROWING, AND WE NEED YOUR HELP! 🚨

As the demand for animal transportation continues to climb, we are struggling to keep up. For those who may not realize just how much things have grown since we started, here’s a little breakdown.

🐾 2023: 397 animals transported | 33 transports
🐾 2024: 368 animals transported | 22 transports
🐾 2025: 384 animals transported | 20 transports
🐾 2026: 535 animals transported | 22 transports (AND COUNTING!)

For the past three years, we’ve averaged less than 400 animals annually. But 2026 has taken the lead by far!

535 ANIMALS. 22 TRANSPORTS. AND WE STILL HAVE 3 MONTHS LEFT IN THE YEAR!

Let that sink in for a moment.

The numbers speak for themselves. The demand is at an all-time high, and we simply cannot continue keeping up at this pace without more support.

❤️ WE NEED TO GET THE BUS GOING! ❤️

The bus would mean more reliable transportation, more opportunities to help animals in need, and the ability to keep up with the ever-growing demand for our services.

Every donation, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to making this happen.

🐾 HELP US HELP THE ANIMALS! 🐾

Rescue is exhausting for reasons that have nothing to do with the animals.

It can be hard listening to people explain why they can’t do one small thing, while knowing that means someone else will have to do a little more.

No time. Too tired. Too busy. Too far. Too inconvenient.

You’re expected to understand. To sympathize. To smile and figure it out anyway.

If you admit that it’s heavy, that you’re depleted, or you finally push back and say no, someone is often quick to remind you that rescue was your choice.

Somehow, that means you should just do more.

Nights like last night are also a reminder that we are not carrying all of it alone.
Jordan with Critter Comfort Transport reached out in the evening about a tiny kitten who had been found injured and desperately needed help. Still on her long transport, she connected all the pieces together.

Heather had already stepped up to keep this little girl safe and sheltered.

Then there was Keegan.

He has shown up for people and animals over and over again, and last night was no different. On a Saturday evening, with a long drive ahead of him and absolutely no obligation to take this on, he got in his vehicle and went.

He drove the distance in the dark to get this little girl where she needed to be.
No production. No long list of reasons why it would be difficult. Just, “I can help.”

That kind of person matters more than they probably realize.

We picked her up from the clinic late and tucked her in after midnight.

She is thin and bony. Her little face, mouth and teeth are injured, and one front leg has sustained significant damage. Right now, we don’t know if that leg can be saved.

This morning, she has been nothing but love. Purring. Leaning in. Soaking up attention. Completely unaware of how many people had to make room in their night so she could have this morning.

When the weight feels extra heavy, the people who continue to show up give the rest of us the strength to keep going.

We see you.

The people who drive after dark. Take the extra foster. Answer the message. Donate what they can. Change their plans. Make room. The people who simply say, “I’ll do it.”

We appreciate you more than you know.

Maybe we could all challenge ourselves a little more.

What small comfort could you give up today if it meant a better outcome for someone else?

An hour. A drive. A quiet evening. Twenty dollars. A spare room. A little effort.
There are organizations everywhere, supporting every kind of cause, that need people willing to do something.

Donate. Foster. Adopt. Volunteer. Drive. Help.

A little life gets a completely different future simply because enough people decided the inconvenience was worth it. 🤍

🐾 Another successful transport in the books! 🐾

Today, 8 dogs/puppies and a whole lot of cats made their way from Saskatchewan to Alberta for their second chances at life. ❤️🐶🐱

While we were making our way back to Edmonton after dropping everyone off, we received a cry for help. A kitten had been found injured on the highway and desperately needed help.

We immediately jumped into action to get this little one the care she needed as quickly as possible. Thankfully, we were able to find a rescue willing to intake her, and we reached out to a fellow rescue network member to see if they could help with transport while we are out of town on this long-haul transport.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who stepped up:

❤️ Ashlyn at SOS Prairie Rescue for agreeing to intake this sweet kitten without hesitation.

🚗 Keegan for immediately running out to pick her up and getting her to the veterinary college in Saskatoon.

📲 Heather for reaching out as soon as she saw the kitten and helping get the ball rolling.

This is what rescue is all about — people coming together when an animal needs us most. It truly takes a village, and we are so thankful for every person who helps make these second chances possible. 🐾❤️

🐱❄️ COLD WEATHER REMINDER! ❄️🐱

As the weather gets colder, please remember that cats may crawl underneath vehicles or into engine compartments to stay warm. Sadly, starting a vehicle without checking can result in serious injury or worse.

Before starting your vehicle, take a few extra seconds to check:

📣 Honk your horn before starting
👀 Check underneath and around your vehicle
🥁 Bang on the hood to encourage any hidden cats to get out
🚗 Take a quick look under the hood if possible

These few seconds could save a life. ❤️

Please share this reminder with your friends, family and anyone who drives. Let’s help keep our community’s outdoor cats safe this winter. 🐾

A little precaution can make a huge difference. ❤️🐱

One transport. One more emergency. One more life worth fighting for.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Critter Comfort Transport and the animals we help along the way. ❤️
