✨ A little travel agent truth… ✨
Most people genuinely don’t realize this:
Travel agents don’t get paid for quotes, research, planning, emails, or advice. All of that can take hours of our time, sometimes days! We don’t work for the cruise lines or Disney as hourly or salaried employees.
We only get paid after your vacation actually happens — and only if we are the ones who book it.
So when someone comes to me for all the expertise they need…
✨ comparing cruises or resorts
✨ breaking down dates and pricing
✨ explaining tickets and important travel details
…and then books on their own?
That means I worked for free. Now- I ask every one of you- do any of you actually work for free? No, I didn’t think so.
If you choose to work with a travel agent, the kindest way to support us is simple:
✨ Communicate openly with what you are looking for. Do you want the best experience? The most luxurious resort? The oldest ship but for a decent price?
✨ Most agents can spot someone a mile away if they are price shopping other agents. If you are price shopping or working with another agent, I will kindly bow out.
✨ Let us book the exact same deal you found online (same price + personalized service). My absolute FAVORITE clients are the ones that say “I know I can book it online but I prefer to work with an agent for their support, experience, and knowledge”.
✨ Don’t ghost me if your plans change, and please don’t waste my time. If I provide detailed quotes several times with no response, l will stop responding to your requests.
