Did you know that the S.S. Princess Kathleen of the Canadian Pacific Coast Services was the very first vessel to try this new system, in the same year of the invention in 1951!

How did Frank Lewis Chappell the inventor convince them to install just on theory? “No cure, no pay!” were the conditions of the one-year contract.

In just 9 short months, Frank Chappell’s MARELCO™ ’system they had achieved extremely satisfying results.

This led to system being fitted on 3 additional C.P.R. coast steamships between 1951 and 1952.
