Going to Walt Disney World this summer?
I was just there last week and here is how I beat the heat.

I’d love to hear how you do Walt Disney World in the summer months, so comment below to let me know if I missed anything

These are my must-have items for hot days at the park. You can also find the link to these in my Amazon Storefront in my bio link:
Cooling towel
Portable fan - with a misting option is great too!
Anti-chafe balm
Water Bottle
Electrolytes
Sunscreen, Sunglasses & a hat
Oil Blotting pads for your face

Now let’s get on to what I did each day to beat the heat.
Get to the parks early!! If you are staying on Disney Property, you will get to take advantage of Early Entry and start riding rides at least 30 minutes before the park opens. So get to the park at least 45 minutes to an hour before that starts so you have enough time to get through security and into the park first to really take advantage of this to maximize your day.

Take a Midday break. This was so important for me as I am not use to the Florida heat in the summer. As soon as I stepped outside I was already sweating, so by the time it was noon I needed a break.

Experience the Water Parks or your resort pool. That’s what I did during the midday break and it was a nice way to cool down. Disney has two amazing water parks - Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon. I consider these a must do while you are at the Walt Disney World Resort. Remember those magic carpets we used on snowy hills as a kid? Well, Blizzard Beach has those but foam to do down waterslides and it’s so much fun!

Take advantage of indoor activities and rides while at the park during the hottest time of the day.

Mobile Order your food so you don’t have to wait in line outside to order and pick it up.

Stay at a resort that offers extended evening hours when available. The parks will be open late for certain resort guests and you can take a longer midday break without feeling like you’re missing out on anything.

Many guests try to power through from rope drop to fireworks. In summer, the most successful Disney vacations usually follow this pattern:

Early Entry → Attractions → Lunch → Resort Break/Pool → Evening Parks → Fireworks

You’ll often accomplish more while feeling much less exhausted.

I can’t stop thinking about this:

“Midlife is just being who you were when you were 16, but loving her this time and not caring what anyone else thinks.”

And honestly? I feel that.

As a kid, I loved Disney. I dreamed about the parks, watched all of the movies, sang the songs, and never thought twice about whether it was “cool” or not.

Then somewhere along the way, being a teenager you want to fit in and forget about the joy Disney brings. And then adulthood teaches us to be more serious, more practical, and a little more concerned with what other people think.

Now, I’m back to being that Disney-loving girl — except this time I’m embracing it completely.

I’ll wear the ears.
I’ll cry during the fireworks.
I’ll get excited about a new Disney Parks attraction announcement.
I’ll plan entire vacations around a little bit of magic.

The difference is that now I don’t feel the need to explain it.

Growing older isn’t about leaving behind the things that brought you joy. Sometimes it’s about finding your way back to them and loving them even more.

And if that makes me a Disney adult, I’m perfectly okay with that. ✨🏰

POV: you’re a kid and it’s embarkation day on your first Disney Cruise

You arrive at the Port and the ship looks like a floating Mickey with its unique colored hull, life boats, and funnels

You see characters and Mickey heads all around the terminal before boarding.

Your family name is announced as you board the ship and you feel so special as Cast Members welcome you on board.

You race to your stateroom to check it out and start decorating the door before exploring the kids club and nursery.

You head to the pool deck for the sail away party and see all of your fab 5 fave characters.

Then it’s time for the most magical ✨ dinner you’ve ever head complete with Mickey head ketchup and Sorcerer Mickey himself!

Then it hits you…you’re really on this Disney Cruise Line ship your parents have been talking about.

🇨🇦 Canadian residents can save on select Disney Cruise Line sailings through the end of March 2027—including many Spring Break dates! Eligible sailings are available on every Disney Cruise Line ship except the Disney Adventure, making it a great time to plan your family’s next magical vacation.

Did you know you can rent a stroller right inside all of the Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort parks? 👀

It’s one of those things you don’t think about… until your “big kid” suddenly can’t handle another step after a full park day 😅

If you don’t want to bring a stroller (or you don’t even own one anymore), Disney has you covered 👇
✨ Stroller rentals available right inside the parks
✨ Single + double options
✨ Perfect for tired legs, snack storage, and long days

The only thing to keep in mind—they have to stay in the park, so you can’t take them back to your hotel. But for those in-park meltdowns or late-night walks down Main Street? Total lifesaver 🙌. They are for $18US for a single & $36US for a double per day

Save this for your next trip—you might not think you need it… but future you will thank you 💛
