🚨 ATTEMPTED TRACTOR THEFT — VAUGHAN, ONTARIO 🚨
The individual pictured was captured during an attempted theft of one of our tractors from the Penske yard in Concord.
Fortunately, the attempt was unsuccessful—likely because of the immobilization technology installed on the tractor.
This is not an isolated incident.
Over the past two months, six of our tractors have been stolen from secured yards. Sure Track is now spending more than $250,000 annually on 24/7 security guards, surveillance, barriers, tracking systems and immobilization technology—simply to protect the equipment required to operate our business.
Meanwhile, insurance premiums continue to increase because of theft claims arising through no fault of the companies being targeted.
Commercial vehicle theft in Ontario is completely out of control. It disrupts supply chains, increases operating costs and eventually costs every Canadian consumer.
We are calling on Premier Doug Ford, York Regional Police, the Ontario Provincial Police, the RCMP, the City of Vaughan, York Region, Mayor Steven Del Duca, Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation and the Solicitor General of Ontario to treat organized commercial vehicle theft with the urgency it demands.
If you recognize this individual or have relevant information, contact police. Do not approach or confront them.
A sincere thank-you to immobilizer provider. Their technology is likely the reason this tractor did not become number seven.
Please share. Someone may recognize this individual.
