Modo is a round-trip carsharing co-operative based in Vancouver, BC. With a diverse and growing fleet in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island, Modo offers members access to 800+ cars, trucks, hybrids, EVs and more. Founded in Vancouver's West End in 1997, Modo was the first carsharing of its kind in North America - a true Vancouver original. We're a local, member-owned co-operative driven by people, not profits. Our custom carsharing programs - including fleet management - for developers, municipalities and businesses can improve your bottom line. Your membership includes gas, insurance, parking privileges and maintenance. Learn more about Modo's individual and business membership at www.modo.coop.

September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Modo will again be donating our hourly revenue from trips taken on September 30th (up to $15,000) to the Indian Residential School Survivors Society (IRSSS).

Thanks to the collective efforts of our members, Modo has been able to contribute over $125,000 to the IRSSS over the past 5 years. 🧡

We also recognize that reconciliation goes beyond one day a year.

We invite everyone to continue to deepen their understanding of the history of Indigenous Peoples, including the ongoing impacts of residential schools, while also learning about and celebrating the vibrant cultures of Indigenous Peoples in what we know as BC and Canada.

To donate directly to the IRSSS, please visit the link in bio. 🧡

Looks like The Bad Academy had a GREAT time! 🤩

With cargo vans and 7&8-seaters in our fleet, get the whole squad and all your equipment and cargo to whenever you need to go!

Our friends The Bad Academy took Modo on the ferry and drove up the Sunshine Coast to The Stonewater for their annual Bad Summer Camp trip! 🏕️

A great example of how shared vehicles strengthen communities! 🚗🚐

Thank you Nicole Van Zutphen & for capturing these lovely photos! 📸

Unlock more shared transportation options with your Compass Card!

We’re thrilled to announce Compass Card integration through our collaboration with TransLink and Mobi by Rogers.

Modo members can now use their Compass Card to unlock and access Modo vehicle bookings, and members of Mobi by Rogers will be able to use their Compass Card to access and unlock Mobi bikes.

To link your Compass Card to your Modo account, manually link your Compass Card through the Modo app via the “Account” tab.

Once linked, your Compass Card acts only as an access card — stored value and transit passes cannot be used to pay for Modo or Mobi by Rogers trips.

You may have seen have some brand new Modo cargo vans across your city wrapped with some stunning nature photographs! 📸🐻🦐🌊🌎

We’re thrilled to partner with fellow co-operative, Stocksy!

Stocksy is an artist-owned stock media agency. Their intentionally curated collections, are not only beautiful but also ensure that artists are paid properly for their work.

The pieces we chose are by Canadian photographers and focus on the wonderful flora and fauna of British Columbia.

What do you want to see next on a Modo cargo van? 🚐
