This is not an attempt to steal any other group's thunder, but a means to work together and garner resources to take the many small pieces and create a masterpiece. There are many small aviation heritage sites of various sorts in British Columbia, Alberta and in the US Pacific Northwest. Few are well funded, not all can permit flight, most struggle, all fighting for resources. We are a place where

aviation has opened up our land and continues to facilitate our existance and access to many of the remote and wild places. Sadly, despite the valiant efforts of many good people, because there is no central structure, no foundational system to focus and support aviation heritage in British Columbia, no place where it can be brought together, we are losing our heritage to the south, to the east, to the weather and to a degree of indifference. The DREAM is to create an Aviation Heritage Centre of Excellence in British Columbia, something eventually of the stature of the Smithsonian in Washington, of the Boeing site in Seattle, but with the essence of the Duxford site in England. There is an opportunity to do this. It is going to require a great deal of planning and talking and dreaming, but the time is NOW.... . Let's make it happen!
