The Broadway Subway Project is a 5.7 km extension of the Millennium Line, from VCC-Clark Station to Broadway and Arbutus.

Broadway traffic is back on pavement at Oak-VGH Station! Crews have shifted vehicles off the traffic deck on the north side of Broadway and onto the newly paved road on the south side.

This allows crews to remove the second half of the traffic deck and rebuild the street and sidewalks above the new station.

Dynamic testing is underway to test the tracks, systems and equipment that will operate the Millennium Line extension.

This hole in the roof of South Granville Station is a vent shaft! Can you guess what it’s for?

The vent shaft will connect grilles on the sidewalk to large tunnel ventilation fans that can help circulate air through the tunnels and stations as needed.

At Broadway-City Hall Station, crews continue to install tunnel ventilation fans. These large machines will circulate air through the tunnels and stations as needed.

This room is located above the Millennium Line concourse level under Broadway.

This is part of an escalator! The escalator pictured here will connect passengers from the Canada Line southbound platform to the Millennium Line below.

At Oak-VGH Station, traffic deck removal continues on W. Broadway. Here, crews work to remove the girders and panels.

During traffic deck removal at this station, one lane in each direction is maintained while crews continue to rebuild the road.

Crews are removing the traffic deck near Broadway-City Hall Station. W. Broadway between Cambie and Alberta streets will be closed to vehicles for approximately 6 months.

This map shows the temporary traffic changes currently in effect. Despite the road closure, the sidewalks will remain open.

These diamond crossover tracks have been installed at Broadway-City Hall Station. Here, SkyTrains will be able to switch tracks as needed.
