A strong new agreement for IAM Local 1922 members! ✊

Members at UFCW National (Clerical) have ratified a new three-year Collective Agreement, with annual wage increases, improved benefits and more.

A special thank you to negotiations committee members Bessie Argyros-White and Tammy Cruikshank for their dedication and solidarity throughout bargaining.

Une nouvelle convention collective solide pour les membres de la section locale 1922 de l’IAM ! ✊

Les membres du syndicat de la TUAC (personnel administratif) ont ratifié une nouvelle convention collective de trois ans, prévoyant des augmentations salariales annuelles, de meilleurs avantages sociaux et plus encore.

Nous tenons à remercier tout particulièrement Bessie Argyros-White et Tammy Cruikshank, membres du comité de négociation, pour leur dévouement et leur solidarité tout au long des négociations.

🕊️ L’IAM pleure le décès de Ron Fontaine, ancien représentant international et fier membre de l’IAM depuis plus de 55 ans.

Leader, mentor et militant dévoué, Ron a profondément marqué notre syndicat et la vie de nombreux membres de l’IAM.

Un service commémoratif aura lieu le vendredi 18 septembre 2026, de 14 h à 17 h, au Riverside Grand Ballroom, 1231 Burdette Street, Richmond, C.-B. V6V 2Z2, Canada.

Ron will live on in the family and friends who knew and loved him, and in the work we continue do everyday, justice on the job, service to the community ✊

🕊️The IAM mourns the loss of Ron Fontaine, retired International Representative and proud IAM member for more than 55 years.

A dedicated leader, mentor and activist, Ron made a lasting impact on our union and the lives of countless IAM members.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 18, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Riverside Grand Ballroom, 1231 Burdette Street, Richmond, BC V6V 2Z2, Canada.

PLEASE NOTE THE REVISED BUS TIMINGS FOR PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF !

Transportation Details

Complimentary bus transportation will be provided to and from the parade.

Departure: 8:00 a.m.

Bus pickup locations:

● District 78 – 557 Dixon Road

● 2580 Drew Road, Mississauga

The buses will transport participants downtown for the parade.

Return Transportation

The buses will depart from the downtown pickup location at 3.30 p.m FROM THE MEDIEVAL TIMES
PARKING LOT at 10 DUFFERIN ST and return participants to the same pickup locations.
