🚨 Have you missed a key safety step with your forward-facing car seat install? 🤔

According to a report by 64% of parents attending installation checks did just that.

It’s called a Top Tether – and many families don’t know the important role it plays in forward-facing car seat safety! 🚨

What is it and why does it matter? 🤷‍♀️

The top tether is the strap with a hook located at the top back of your child’s car seat. 🪝

When attached to your vehicle’s tether anchor and tightened, it helps keep a forward-facing car seat from tipping forward in a crash. 🛑

Without this vital third point of contact, a child’s head can move an extra 4-6 inches further! 📏

This sudden forward motion can result in the child’s head hitting the back of the front seat, other occupants, or even the console, causing serious harm. 💥

Using the tether, as directed in your manual, could literally be the difference between a brain injury or no injury at all. 🧠

Your car seat’s chest clip isn’t designed to “hold” your child in the seat during a crash.

It’s an important safety teammate, otherwise known as a “Pre-Crash Tensioner”.🤝

It keeps your child’s harness straps positioned correctly over the bony parts of their shoulders BEFORE a crash happens, ensuring the harness is ready to do the heavy lifting when it matters most.💪
