The Toronto Student Transportation Group is a transportation Consortium formed to plan, maintain, and co-ordinate the operations of school district bus routes and student transportation requirements for the Toronto District School Board and the The Toronto Catholic District School Board. The Transportation Consortium provides stakeholders from both the Public and Catholic School Boards an opportun

ity to review important information about school bussing in the city of Toronto. Please feel free to explore the site and discover the many amenities that may assist you in better understanding student transportation. The Toronto District School Board and the Toronto Catholic District School Board service over 900 schools and centers within the city of Toronto with a student population approaching 400,000. We transport 35,000 regular home to school students daily over 12,000 kilometers on over 400 busses. Toronto is a hub for special education with specialized programs operating out of a number of facilities. Over 10,000 special needs students are transported to Toronto schools and centers on 700+ vehicles covering over 43,000 kilometers daily. The consortium budget is currently near the $80 million mark.

Potential School Bus Delays on Wednesday May 27th - When there are high levels of driver absences (for a number of reasons, including illness, days of significance, etc.) school bus operators may be required to temporarily modify routes to ensure that there is coverage. As Wednesday may be observed as a religious holiday, there may be an increased number of driver absences resulting in delays. If possible, please inform your bus carrier should your child not be needing the bus that day. Please visit the Transportation Portal to access the contact information for your bus carrier. As always, parents/guardians/caregivers are encouraged to continue to monitor the Transportation Portal and the TSTG website for updates on delays.
