"You're only here once. This is your one life. You don't want to waste it because you're not in the right group of friends."

That's Andrea Bain in Episode 4, and honestly? She said what she said.

Andrea opens up about learning to travel solo, why she took a solo trip to Mexico last December, and how those trips always bring her back completely clear on what she wants.

Just you, doing exactly what you want, when you want, how you want.
Episode 4 is out now.

Karen didn’t start travelling solo until later in life.

Now she cannot imagine it any other way.

"I've learned that I like travelling alone where I set the agenda and have experiences that wind up being truly precious memories. I've learned that I can handle just about anything that comes my way, and that I am smarter and braver than I had thought prior to solo adventures."

Our research shows that 70% of women over 50 feel undervalued and unseen by the travel industry. Women's voices in travel — particularly mature women — are too often not heard. Or worse, ignored.

That ends here.

It is never too late to discover what you are capable of. Never too late to set your own agenda. Never too late to find out just how brave you actually are.

Nobody talks about this enough.

Travelling with medication, whether it is daily prescriptions, insulin, blood thinners or anything in between, takes planning that most travel guides completely skip over. What needs to stay in your carry-on.

What documentation you need at customs. How to handle time zone changes for timed medications. What to do if something gets lost or runs out abroad.

We’ve put together a practical, honest guide on how to travel with medication, with tips from women in our community who have figured it out the hard way so you do not have to.

Save this one before your next trip and share it with any woman you know who travels with medication.

We did not need science to tell us this. But we will take it.

Research from the Global Coalition on Aging shows that travel improves longevity through mental and physical stimulation. It enhances cognitive resilience, physical health and social engagement, all critical as we age. And in a world where 43% of Canadians over 50 are at risk of social isolation, that matters more than ever.

But beyond the data, we have seen it firsthand in our community for over 30 years. Women who travel come back different. More confident. More curious. More
themselves.

This is not a luxury. It is how we stay alive in every sense of the word.

Episode 4 of The JourneyWoman Ageless Adventuress Travel Podcast is LIVE and we could not be more excited!

This one is so good. Andrea Bain joins host Kathy Buckworth for an honest, inspiring conversation about solo travel, and what it really does for the soul.

Andrea puts it simply: "I always come back from those solo trips very, very clear on what I want to do, what I don't want to do, what lists I need to attack."

In a world full of noise (work, obligations, other people's priorities), solo travel is one of the few spaces where you get to fully realign with yourself. Andrea's take is a good reminder that time alone isn't lost time. It's often the most intentional investment you can make.
