Over the past few days, many of you have been asking me what things are looking like right now for travelling to Jamaica. 🇯🇲
The island has faced unimaginable destruction, but one thing is certain… Jamaica wants us back. The warmth, the welcome, the “ya mon” smiles... they’re getting ready to greet us again very soon. 💚💛🖤
But recovery will take some time and many areas will look a little different for a while.
Sangster airport (MBJ) sustained some significant damage in one area of the terminal building but the rest of the airport is now open. Some passenger flights are operating but schedules are drastically reduced. Most stores, food outlets and Club Mobay lounges are open.
Here’s the most up-to-date list of resort reopening dates that I’ve be advised of (these are subject to change as recovery continues):
☀️All Hyatt Properties — January 31, 2026
🏝 All Rius (except Aquarelle) — November 13, 2025
☀️Riu Palace Aquarelle — December 1, 2025
🏝 Ocean Properties — November 16, 2025
☀️All Royaltons — November 15, 2025
🏝 All Couples Resorts — November 16, 2025
☀️Princess Properties — December 1, 2025
🏝 Iberostar Properties — November 10, 2025
☀️Palladium Properties — November 3, 2025
🏝️ Sandals and Beaches - December 6, 2025....with the exception of Montego Bay, Royal Caribbean, and South Coast - they will reopen May 30, 2026
This is not every resort in Jamaica — just the ones that have released reopening timelines so far.
Select transfer and excursion companies are operating. However there may be some delays due to construction/repairs of roads.
If you’ve been dreaming of returning to the beautiful island of Jamaica, your support will mean more than ever. 🇯🇲💚💛🖤a
