I am for changes and improvement to all forms of transportation and transit (including roads and expressways), but; as a proponent of subways, my biases will be towards connecting and completing the Sheppard Avenue and Scarborough

(McCowan) subways - Once these connections are made, there are many other options that can be applied elsewhere in Scarborough and the rest of the city, but; we need to minimize the number of different modes of transit and transfers - Not everybody wants to travel to and from Union Station

I like Josh Matlow and I think he means well for his constituents, but it would have been wrong to settle for LRT in Scarborough in lieu of the full-fledged subway extension - The subway extension provides a solid base on which to build a fast and proper transit network (including LRT) for the long term future of the community - Yes, it's late; yes we should done it long before now; but it's coming, and we'll eventually be where we should have been all along - It would have been short-sighted to settle for less
