That means they forfeit the time they spend with their families, missing birthdays, anniversaries, and other important events, all in transporting the products we use every day. So next time you see a trucker, say a big thank you for the things they are making.

Over 70% of all Canada - United States cargo is transported via class semi- trucks. It’s estimated that these trucks also carry 94% of all dangerous goods and materials. The average commercial truck burns through over 20,000 gallons of diesel every year.

Trucking has historically been a male-dominated industry, but with the universal push for gender equality, the number of female drivers has been steadily rising over the years. As of 2021, women accounted for 8% of the trucking workforce.
