The Role: Service Advisor

Key Responsibilities
Greet customers, actively listen to concerns or issues regarding their vehicles and gather relevant information to determine the service requirements.
Schedule service appointments, manage service bays, and ensure that there is no overlap or confusion in the service schedule.
Communicate customer concerns and details to the service technicians and ensure that technicians have the necessary parts, tools, and information to complete the job.
Assist in clearly communicating the scope of services being provided, as well as any recommended additional services, to ensure customers are fully informed and confident in their decision.
Coordinate with the parts suppliers to ensure the required parts are available or ordered in time for the scheduled service. Receive and return parts to our suppliers and keep track of our inventory.
Provide customers with cost estimates for repairs, maintenance, and other services, including labor and parts costs.
Process payments through various methods (credit card, cash, charge accounts, etc.) and ensure that transactions are recorded accurately.
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service history, and preferences, ensuring that data is organized and accessible for future interactions.
Help build customer loyalty by providing excellent customer service, handling complaints or issues professionally, and recommending appropriate services for maintaining the vehicle.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: Mechanical knowledge is an asset but we will train the right person.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills— able to communicate clearly with customers, technicians and other team members.
Customer-Centric: A focus on providing excellent customer service and building relationships.
Organizational Skills: The ability to manage multiple service orders, appointments, and tasks simultaneously.
Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail particularly when documenting service orders, customer requests and technician notes.
Problem Solver: Ability to remain composed under pressure, address and resolve issues efficiently and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
