I Support the Big Thunder Wind Park The Big Thunder Wind Park is a project proposed to be constructed on land owned by the city of Thunder Bay Ontario, located in the Municipality of Neebing.

The Wind Park is expected to provide significant benefits to the community. Big Thunder Wind Park Inc. as a general partner of Big Thunder Wind Park LP proposes to build a 32-megawatt wind park southwest of Thunder Bay, Ontario, in the Municipality of Neebing. The first phase is 8 two-megawatt turbines located on the area of elevated relief known as the Nor'Westers, between Highway 61 and Loch Lom

ond. At full build-out, the wind park will occupy between one and two percent of the 17,000 acres owned by the City of Thunder Bay around Loch Lomond. Low voltage electrical lines will connect to the existing Thunder Bay Hydro distribution grid. The Big Thunder Wind Park will eliminate tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere each year by providing safe, clean, renewable power for up to 9,000 homes
