Prince Rupert wildfire is under control enough that the Bell 212 crew has been sitting on standby here at the base for any other call-ups. Sure enough, got one just after 10:30 this morning, north up the Kalum valley just before Treston Lake. Terry is running the 212 around in circles, bucketing off the Kalum River.

Hi fans!

Please note that due to the hot, dry weather, and the BC wildfire service starting to call up our aircraft into standby mode for the region, the Terrace base will be very short on any availability for adventure seekers. We're unable to provide any sightseeing tours or special events for the next while.

If you've got a bit of time, we highly recommend booking one of the glacier tours at Stewart base for filling your adventure bucket. Their tours availability should remain fairly untouched by the demand for wildfire service.

Just down river from our base.... been seeing debris starting in the river in the last 24 hrs or so and the gravel bar view out the front door is almost all under water. Stay safe everyone! Forecast for the weekend is calling for a big rainstorm so it's gonna get wet and wilder!

Taking advantage of a lull in the flying schedule for a "quick" engine change in one of the B3s. Then she'll be ready for a summer of drill moves in the BC Golden Triangle.
