On behalf of southern Albertans, the Highway 3 Twinning Development Association will promote and work proactively and constructively with Provincial and Federal governments for the purpose of twinning Highway 3 from the British Columbia border to Highway 1 at the earliest possible date!

This summer, you've reminded us that Highway 3 connects far more than communities on a map.

It connects us to family. To work. To recreation. To businesses. To tourism. To new experiences. And to the places we call home.

🚨HIGHWAY 3 MATTERS IN MORE WAYS THAN ONE.

We often talk about Highway 3 in terms of everyday travel—getting to work, visiting family, moving goods, enjoying recreation and connecting communities.

But reliable transportation corridors become even more important when communities face unexpected challenges.

Wildfires, severe weather, accidents and other emergencies can quickly change how people and goods move across a region.

A safe, reliable and resilient Highway 3 provides another important connection between communities and supports the movement of people, essential goods and emergency resources when they're needed most.

As we watched the wildfire situation across British Columbia this summer, we're reminded that resilient transportation infrastructure matters—not just on an ordinary day, but when circumstances change.

That's another reason why continuing to invest in Highway 3 matters to the communities along the corridor.

For winter recreation enthusiasts, Highway 3 is part of the journey to the mountains, trails and communities in Alberta and BC.

As a Polaris Ambassador, Logan Thibodeau knows that the journey is often just as important as the destination.

For the Badura family, Highway 3 is part of their family’s journey.
Between games, tournaments, practices and weekends on the road, Highway 3 helps connect them to the places they need to go — and to the experiences and memories that come with them.

For families across Southern Alberta, the highway isn't simply a way to get from one community to another. It's how we get our kids to the rink, the field, the tournament, the campground, the family gathering and, eventually, back home.

These are the connections that make Highway 3 matter.
