Following requests from a number of customers, we’re happy to announce an additional item in our upcoming N Scale 4000 cu. ft. Grain Hopper release.

Introducing a partially numbered (or perhaps partially un-numbered… we’ll let you decide! 😎) 4000 cu. ft. gondola.

Why? Because sometimes you spot a specific car trackside, take a photo, and suddenly that becomes the one you need on your layout. And let’s be honest- who hasn’t wanted to model a car number they’ve actually seen in the wild?

BC Rail (BCNE/BCOL)
BC Rail (BCNE/CN)
Canadian National (CN)
Canadian National (CN, ex Ontario Hydro)
Sultran (2and 3 lines Of Capy Text)

This release gives you the flexibility to apply your own numbers and recreate your favorite prototype.

A look behind the scenes.

These photos were taken during assembly of the N Scale MIL Grain Hopper at the factory in China. While it's easy to focus on the finished model, a tremendous amount of work goes into every production run before a car is ready for shipment later this month.

From assembling components to applying details and final inspection, each model passes through multiple stages before making its way to our warehouse and ultimately onto your layout

It's always exciting to see a project move from drawings and samples to full production. We're looking forward to sharing more updates as these cars continue their journey toward delivery.

The Battle River Railway (ALBX) traces its roots to a farmer-led effort to preserve rail service in central Alberta. Formed in 2010 after purchasing former CN trackage, the railway became a modern prairie shortline while continuing to serve grain producers across the region.

Our upcoming HS cylindrical grain hoppers feature Battle River Railway lettering, still wearing the previous owner paint scheme (ex-Government of Alberta, blue with yellow lettering) and continue the tradition of one of Canada’s most recognizable freight car designs.

Available in a wide range of road names, each model features accurate body details, detailed underframes, and semi-scale metal wheels - bringing the backbone of Western Canadian coal service to your layout.
