❌ Myth: Corn is only grown for people to eat.

✅ Fact: Corn is one of the most versatile crops grown by farmers! While sweet corn is a favourite summer treat, much of the corn grown in Ontario is used for livestock feed, biofuels, and ingredients found in hundreds of everyday products.

The next time you drive past a corn field, remember, there's more growing there than just corn on the cob! 🚜🌽

Want to become more involved in the Norfolk County Fair?
Our volunteer opportunities go well beyond Fair-week shifts.

Join a Fair Committee:
If your passion is horses, livestock, homecraft, gardening, photography, agricultural education, Kids World or another part of the Fair, we can help connect you with a committee that fits your interests.

Volunteer as a Group:
Community groups, sports teams, service clubs, schools and non-profit organizations can volunteer together — and may be able to earn a financial contribution for their organization while supporting Fair operations.

Group opportunities can include Parking, Admission Gates, 50/50 Sales, Waste Management and other event support.

Help Before the Fair:
We also need volunteers for office support, Fair setup, exhibitor drop-off, vendor move-in and other behind-the-scenes jobs in the weeks and days leading up to opening day.

The Norfolk County Fair is a non-profit community organization, and volunteers are a huge part of what makes it possible to welcome thousands of people to the Fairgrounds every October.

Come meet people, learn something new, support your community and be part of making Fair happen.

❤️ More Than Just the Fair ❤️

The Norfolk County Fair & Horse Show is more than midway rides, livestock shows, competitions, and fair food, it's a community coming together.

Every year, hundreds of volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors, agricultural leaders, vendors, staff, community partners, and fairgoers help bring the fair to life. From preparing exhibits and caring for livestock, to organizing events and welcoming visitors through the gates, it takes the dedication of countless people to make the Norfolk County Fair a success.

For 186 years, this tradition has been built by the community, for the community, celebrating the agricultural roots, talent, and spirit that make Norfolk County such a special place to call home.

When you attend the fair, you're not just making memories, you're supporting a tradition that connects generations and strengthens our community.

Thank you to everyone who plays a part in making the Norfolk County Fair possible. We couldn't do it without you. ❤️💙

HAPPENING NOW! Still time to check out Norfolk County Ribfest! 🍖🎶

Ribfest is continuing tonight and tomorrow at the Norfolk County Fairgrounds, with BBQ, live music, vendors and more.

**We’ve seen a few questions, so just a quick clarification — Ribfest is an independently organized third-party event renting the Norfolk County Fairgrounds and is not produced or operated by NCAS. The event organizer is responsible for the event layout, vendor selection, programming and advertising; NCAS’s role is simply the venue. We’re happy to help spread the word and see our grounds being used for another community event!**

And there’s another great reason to stop by — Abel Enterprises and Rotary are both participating and raising funds, so come out, enjoy some great food and music, and support these local organizations while you’re here. ❤️

For generations, families have looked forward to the arrival of fresh local strawberries, whether it's a trip to a pick-your-own farm, a basket from a roadside stand, or enjoying homemade jams, pies, and shortcakes. It's a season that brings people together and celebrates the incredible agricultural heritage of our community.

Our pop-up kids camp is happening Tuesday September 1st & Thursday September 3rd from 9 AM–12 PM for kids ages 5–12!

Kids will get creative with fun crafts they can even enter into the Fair, learn more about the Norfolk County Fair, and explore the fairgrounds along the way! 🎪🐴🌽
