What an amazing afternoon we had. My Tappa would have been elated to see her old boat all dressed up at the dock surrounded by his loving family. Cheers to old memories and new beginnings aboard Knotsure. ❤️

We let the kids sleep in this morning, casted off our lines and made our way to Sidney Island. We had to make Angler’s Marina to Cadboro Bay in a day so we thought we’d stop for lunch at Sidney Island. This is a busy anchorage in the summertime but it’s worth it. The girls were on the hunt for sand dollars, the boys were looking for crabs. And the adults…well, we saw a little bit of our childhoods in our children today. Life is beautiful ⛵️

One of the fondest memories my brothers and I had growing up on this boat was when dad would get up really early and cast off so he could get us to the next anchorage at a decent hour. We would wake up to the hum of the engine and the smell of coffee brewing. Today was just that, we casted off at 7:05am and headed towards Brentwood Bay.
Stephen and his family enjoyed Buchart Gardens while our family enjoyed the sunshine and cleaned the boat for the upcoming celebration.

We just spent our first night at Ganges Marina on Salt Spring Island with the gang.
We’re now heading to Medicine Beach on Pender Island to soak up some more sun and fun!
