We had the opportunity to visit the Bunker Hill Mining site, meet with the Bunker Hill team, and see firsthand the exciting progress being made. It was a valuable opportunity to strengthen relationships, align on our shared commitment to safety and operational excellence, and look ahead to the work we will accomplish together.

Being chosen to provide concentrate hauling is a responsibility we don't take lightly. Our commitment to safety, consistency of service, and dependable performance is at the core of everything we do, and we're honoured to play a role in supporting the successful restart of this historic operation.

An important investigation into challenges that many in the industry have been discussing for years. Fair compensation, proper worker classification, strong safety practices, and consistent enforcement are critical, not only for drivers, but for the integrity and sustainability of the entire trucking sector.

Responsible carriers should not be forced to compete against operators who gain an advantage through non-compliance. The industry, regulators, and stakeholders all have a role to play in creating a level playing field.

Only a fraction of the thousands of trucking firms analyzed by
Globe and Mail have ever received an in-depth safety audit by provincial transport authorities. Firms routinely violate labour laws without penalty. The lawlessness crisis in trucking is undeniable.
