As another boating season comes to an end, JMY WaterWorks would like to remind our clients about the importance of properly winterizing your mooring system.

Your mooring is an investment, and leaving it exposed throughout the winter can lead to unnecessary wear or damage. Ice movement, freezing temperatures, changing water levels, and harsh winter conditions can put significant stress on mooring components.

Taking the time to properly winterize your system can help:

Protect your mooring components from winter and ice damage
Reduce unnecessary wear on chains, shackles, ropes, hardware, and other components
Give us an opportunity to inspect the system and identify anything that may need attention
Help extend the life of your mooring system
Make preparing for the 2027 boating season much easier
At JMY WaterWorks, we strongly recommend winterizing rather than taking the chance of discovering damage or unexpected repairs in the spring.

We are currently scheduling our fall mooring winterization services. We are also beginning to organize our 2027 spring and summer installation schedule, so this is a great time to plan ahead and make sure everything is ready when boating season returns.
