Yesterday was one of those afternoons that fills your cup. 💕

I had the pleasure of sharing lunch with a wonderful group of fellow travel advisors, and our host truly outdid herself with the beautiful décor, thoughtful touches, and delicious menu.

What I enjoyed most wasn’t just the food, but the conversation. The laughter, the sharing of experiences, the mentorship, the support, and the genuine connections that make this industry so special.

It’s amazing how quickly time passes when you’re surrounded by people who inspire you. I think we all could have stayed for hours longer, sharing stories and ideas.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to be there. I left feeling grateful, encouraged, and reminded that while we may be independent advisors, we’re never really doing this journey alone.

There’s nothing I love more than getting boots-on-the-ground experience so I can confidently match my clients with the right resort—and this week was exactly that ✨

I had the opportunity to do a full site inspection of Princess Resorts in Riviera Maya, and it truly gave me such a well-rounded feel for what they offer. I toured the Princess Sunset side, including the Platinum Deluxe Room with two queen beds (a great option for families wanting that elevated experience), and the Laguna Villas, which have a completely different, more private and tranquil vibe—perfect for couples or those wanting something a little more tucked away. For families the suites can host up to 5 and they have just renovated their kids waterpark. I explored the main grounds, including the kids club and waterslides (such a fun setup for families), and I was able to see their beautiful outdoor wedding venue set up with tables and chairs—which really helps bring a destination wedding vision to life. I also toured the dedicated bridal preparation space, which is such a thoughtful touch for wedding mornings.

A huge thank you to Sulma, the on-site Groups & Weddings Manager, and Evangelina, the Sales Assistant who personally coordinated my tour—they were both incredible and so helpful in walking me through every detail.

I’m also currently staying at Platinum Yucatan Princess (which I was lucky enough to win at the Granite Travel Expo in Red Deer last fall 🙌), so I’ve been able to experience the adults-only side firsthand as well—which adds even more insight for my clients. The swim out suites are gorgeous and wrap around the entire resort!

Tucked away (almost hidden in the garden) at the Platinum Yucatan Princess is the Mayan outdoor spa that offers the most unique ritualistic massages and body treatments!

Travel Tip: Dine Late, Explore Early in Europe 🙂

In Europe, the rhythm is flipped… and if you lean into it, your trip instantly levels up.

Start your mornings early to explore popular sights before the crowds roll in. Think quiet cobblestone streets, empty viewpoints, and that golden morning light hitting everything just right ☀️

Then slow things down in the afternoon (hello café, gelato, or a cheeky siesta), and save your dinners for later… like 7:30–9:30pm. That’s when Europe really comes alive. Patios fill, music drifts through the streets, and suddenly you’re not just visiting… you’re part of it 🍷
