Job Description:
Saskeazy Moving Ltd, a reputable moving and transportation company, is currently seeking a skilled and reliable Class 5 Driver to join our team. As a Class 5 Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating our moving trucks and delivering goods to our clients in a timely manner. This position requires excellent driving skills, a strong work ethic, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a Class 5 moving truck to transport goods to various locations
Load and unload items from the truck, ensuring proper handling and securing of the cargo
Plan the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries
Provide exceptional customer service by maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor
Assist with packing and unpacking items as needed
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition
Adhere to all relevant traffic laws and regulations
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any incidents or delays
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and meet customer expectations
Requirements:
Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
Previous experience as a Class 5 driver or in a similar role is preferred
Strong knowledge of local roads and routes
Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with the job
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility to work occasional weekends and evenings, as needed
