If a company gives you a price over the phone without doing an onsite or virtual estimate — without taking inventory or assessing your unique move — that number is almost certainly wrong.

A real estimate takes time and attention. At Manly Movers, we tailor the process to your move:

📋 Smaller moves (1-2 bedroom apartments) — we take inventory over the phone
📱 Virtual estimate — for most estimates we use a software called Liveswitch to walk through your home together virtually
🏠 Larger or more complex moves — we send a rep to your home in person

We use a CRM called SmartMoving that lets us input your inventory and calculate the exact weight and cubic footage of your move — so we know how many trucks, how many guys, and how many hours it’ll take to get you moved properly.

There’s more to moving than just picking stuff up and putting it down — loading a truck is an art. 🎨📦

Our team is trained on a tiered loading system that maximizes every inch of our 26ft trucks:

🔴 Bottom tier — heavy base pieces like dressers, nightstands, and solid furniture to create a stable foundation
🟡 Mid tier — boxes and lighter furniture stacked on top
⚪ Top tier — kitchen chairs, small items, and anything light

We build these tiers from the front of the truck to the back, packing everything tightly and securing it with straps so nothing shifts during transport. The result? An efficient load and your belongings arriving exactly as they left.

Big week for the Manly Movers team. 💪🚚☀️

Last week we completed a large 3-truck commercial move for a local solar company with a crew of 10 movers getting it done efficiently from start to finish.

On top of that, we officially added truck #7 to the Manly fleet. Huge milestone for us.

Grateful for our hardworking team, loyal customers, and everyone supporting our growth. We’re continuing to build something special here in Central Alberta. 🔥
