We would use a tractor, but the horses need exercise!
Why do we use horses over tractor? 🚜
1. Fuel Efficiency - horses will eat the grass whether they are working or not. It makes no difference whether we use them or we don’t. A tractor is noisy for in town use, uses fuel and has emissions. There are uses for the tractor like feeding the horses their bales, but we will use horses whenever possible.
2. Keeping the horses healthy - It’s a phenomenal workout for abdominal, hind and leg muscles. Keeping them in shape keeps them healthier longer.
3. Bringing back history - this is how things got done back in the day! We are trying to bring the heritage into Heritage Ranch!
