We were so pleased to welcome Honourable Minister of Transport, Steven MacKinnon and delegates to our airport yesterday to announce over $3 million in critical funding for our airport lighting project, alongside funding for 5 other BC municipalities.

Many thanks to the Minister for your support, Joanne Finlay for providing the traditional welcome, Parm Bains, Member of Parliament for Richmond East-Steveston, delegates from WSP, our Airport Authority Board for their continued advocacy, and to everyone who helped coordinate an event at our remote location. Also - special shout out to Mayor Gladys Atrill of Smithers and Councillor Barry Pages of Masset for making the trek out to our remote site to join us!
