We’re very proud of the relationship we’ve built with Valhalla Equipment Inc. / Ponsse Autorized Dealer - BC & AB over the years. We’d like to thank Barb and Dan for trusting us with their customer’s brand new equipment!

These hauls take a lot of coordination, planning, experience, and care. We’re happy to work with Valhalla and their customers to bring these amazing machines across the country.

We get so many thumbs up, looky loos, and people wide eying these machines as we go. People that see them do a double take almost every time. They look so awesome and so different that people just can’t help but be intrigued. We have countless conversations with the public every time we stop. People walk up and wonder what they do and where they come from. It makes us as drivers feel like rockstars of the road with the cool load everybody is talking about. When we post online in the heavy haul pages we always get other haulers saying they saw us along the way. Even the experienced haulers can’t help but look!

We’re looking forward to a long lasting relationship and many more beautiful Ponsse North America machines to come!

“GET TO THE CHOPPER” - Arnie

Never a dull moment working with HELM Diamond Drilling and Goliath Resources Ltd.!

What do you do when a bridge gets downgraded and you can’t make it directly to site? You can’t stop Mother Nature but sometimes you can go around her….. or overtop of her! You get the choppers to unload you!

One way or another we’ll get your gear to you! Everybody worked very well together. Safety was top priority. We had an alternative landing zone for the aircraft, a clear plan, all the PPE, and we all knew our places. Both of our trucks we unloaded incident free by some very talented pilots.

Heli pilots are the true rockstars on these mining jobs! These guys waste zero time and can keep unbelievable control of the aircraft in just about any weather!

A big thanks to all of the crews that worked on these loads. They were loaded and unloaded perfectly by the Helm crew. Goliath sent some extra decks and staff. Great pilots. And a big thanks to our driver, Scott, for always rolling with the punches and making it happen! This is always a team effort and we couldn’t do it without everybody involved!

When your project is on the backside of nowhere then nowhere is where we’ll go!

Quips aside, this is the everyday road into Telegraph Creek, BC. The community is built with a great amount of history in the Tahltan Territory. We greatly appreciate the opportunity to experience this adventure into the community. This drive in….. holy cow….. every corner we went around was more beautiful than the last. There’s viewpoints overlooking the valley. There’s lava beds. There’s old historic buildings in downtown. And the people we met were so nice and treated us so well. Everybody knew we were coming. We were the talk of the town!

Our first day there it was raining and too wet to drive in. So we went in to scout the road. There’s 4 big hills with 20% grades, switchbacks, narrow bridges with very tight approaches, and cliff faces with drop offs. Safety was number one. It was slick goose s**t for a good portion of the road while it was raining. But, it dried up fast and the local crews did a fantastic job of maintaining the road. They planned some of their maintenance around us to make sure we got in and out as easy as possible.

On day two we went in and had a great time with it! You can see Scott up ahead of me in the video. Howard was ahead of him in a pickup and you can hear them chatting about the road. I have more videos that’ll I’ll share as well.

A big shoutout to HELM Diamond Drilling and Juggernaut Exploration Ltd. for bringing us out! These guys are so great to work with and treat us and our staff like gold.

We got to play with this little Tonka truck this week! One of my first posts on LinkedIn ever was of me hauling a Tonka toy on my deck. It’s full circle to have a real life one on my wagon!

We handled our pilots in-house from Saskatchewan to BC.

A load of this size, half on the trailer, half beamed, and the weight requires a lot of organization, planning, routing, permitting, manpower and skill.

This haul went off without a hitch once we found some dunnage! We brought lots but of course it wasn’t quite enough. Thanks to Barry Smith for the “I know a guy” save!

A HUGE thank you to my team for taking care of all of the peripheral details so I could focus on the road ahead of me! Loads like this don’t happen just because of a driver. It’s absolutely a team effort and I couldn’t do this without a great team!
