Welcome to YXS, Executive Flight Centre! ✈️

We're pleased to welcome Executive Flight Centre (EFC) as the Fixed Base Operator at Prince George Airport.

EFC will provide passenger and crew services, ground handling, aircraft servicing, hangar facilities and cargo handling at YXS, serving charter and regional operators, corporate and private aviation, and government and military flights.

The existing local team will continue under EFC, bringing their knowledge and experience together with EFC's broader aviation network.

We're looking forward to working with EFC and the team as they begin this next chapter at YXS.

During these exercises, members of the community may see smoke and fire in the vicinity of the airport. This is part of scheduled training for YXS emergency response personnel and is not a cause for concern.

This training helps our team maintain the skills and readiness needed to respond safely and effectively in an airport emergency.

COMMUNITY NOTICE: Members of the community may see smoke near the Prince George Airport today, September 15, between approximately 8:30 a.m. and noon.

YXS emergency response personnel are conducting live fire training. The exercise was confirmed on short notice and is not a cause for concern.

We’re hiring Seasonal Airport Operations Specialists (AOS1) to join our Operations team for the upcoming winter season.

If you’re comfortable working outdoors in Northern BC winters, operating equipment and being part of a team responsible for keeping airport operations safe and moving, this may be the opportunity for you.

✅ $32.04/hour
✅ 4-on, 4-off rotation
✅ Local, onsite work
✅ Day and night shifts
✅ Mid-October 2026 through late March 2027
✅ Opportunities to learn and build experience in airport operations

Applicants must meet the requirements outlined in the full job posting, including holding the required driver's licence and air brake endorsement and being able to obtain the necessary airport security and operating qualifications.

The Prince George Airport Authority is recruiting a Manager of Technology and Business Systems.

This isn't your typical technology role. You'll help lead the systems and technology that support a busy airport environment, working across the organization on everything from day-to-day operations and system improvements to cybersecurity, business continuity and future technology planning.

We're looking for someone who's technically strong, practical, collaborative and comfortable moving between strategy and hands-on problem solving.

A group of U.S. military aircraft stopped in Prince George for fuel while travelling from Alaska to Oregon, giving our team a pretty unique view on the apron.

Something new has landed at YXS.

We're excited to welcome Altitude Restaurant + Lounge, officially OPEN TODAY in the main terminal at Prince George Airport!

Operated by Noir Food Services Ltd., Altitude brings full-service dining back to YXS, with a new space to enjoy a meal, relax with a beverage or spend some time before your journey.

And you don't need to be travelling to visit.

Altitude is located before security, which means airport employees and members of the community are welcome too.

Today has been a long-awaited milestone for food and beverage services at YXS, and we're thrilled to finally open the doors.

Congratulations to the entire Noir Food Services team!
