Why do Silver Streak boats hold their value? Two reasons, one that most sellers skip.

First, they're all-welded aluminum, so there are no rivets or seals to loosen and leak. Second, here in BC, rugged aluminum boats are exactly what buyers are hunting for.

Here's the honest bit:

β˜‘ Aluminum doesn't win everywhere, but in BC's fishing scene, it holds its value beautifully
β˜‘ A clean service history moves the needle more than the badge on the bow
β˜‘ Pair it with a well-kept Mercury, and you're selling a boat that's ready to go, not a project

Look after it, keep your records, and the boat pays you back when it's time to sell.

Another repower done right.

Yesterday the team swapped out an old engine and dropped in a fresh MerCruiser 3.0L TKS, 135 HP, carburetted Turn Key Start, the kind of sterndrive a lot of BC boaters have run for years.

A repower keeps you in the boat you already know, often for a fraction of buying new. We aligned it, dialled it in, and water-tested it before it went anywhere.

Thinking about a repower? Give us a shout.

There's something about watching a boat fly that never gets old.

The travelift picks the hull up out of the water and carries it into the wash bay, then holds it right there in the slings while the crew gets to work. Suspended like that, they can reach the whole bottom, all the way around, no spots missed.

β˜‘ Zero-runoff bay, so the growth and paint residue we blast off stays out of the inlet
β˜‘ Multi-stage filtration catches the paint particles before any water leaves the site
β˜‘ A clean hull just runs better, less drag, better fuel economy, happier coatings

Fishing season is almost here. Is your boat ready for early summer, or just hoping it fires up on the first try?

A few things sideline anglers every spring:
β˜‘ A dried-out impeller that overheats the engine on the first hot day
β˜‘ Old fuel and a clogged filter behind most rough idles and stalls
β˜‘ A weak battery that reads full but won't crank cold

A spring service check sorts all of it at the dock. And before you launch, grab your B.C. Tidal Waters Sport Fishing License, plus a Salmon Conservation Stamp if you are keeping salmon.

πŸ“ž Book early at (604) 936-4602, before the June calendar fills up.

Don't be the boat blocking the ramp this May long weekend.

The most preventable launch-day problems are the simple ones. Drain plug left at home. Bilge blower skipped. Tell-tale not flowing on first start.

Each one is fixable in five minutes at the driveway, and each one can turn a long weekend launch into a tow line.

Three habits cover almost all of it:
β˜‘ Inspection at home, not at the ramp
β˜‘ Same ramp sequence, every time
β˜‘ Tell-tale check within 30 seconds of first start

That's basically the whole list. Run those three, and you'll be off the ramp and on the water with time to spare.

Nobody wants to be the one stuck at the boat ramp on the first sunny Saturday of the year.

A successful first run in BC depends on more than just a full tank of gas. This spring checklist covers the simple things that are easy to overlook after a long winter, especially when it comes to fuel stability and battery health.

Quick hits from the guide:
βœ… Fuel system "sniff test" and filter checks.
βœ… Getting those Mercury outboards humming.
βœ… Double-checking the gear that keeps everyone safe.

Read the checklist and get the prep out of the way now: https://x.gd/sdycu πŸš€βš“

When was your last Mercury service? If you're guessing, you're due.

Your outboard runs on two clocks: hours and time. Whichever hits first is the one you book.

βœ“ 100 hours or 1 year β†’ annual service
βœ“ 300 hours or 3 years β†’ impeller, plugs, full inspection

Low hours doesn't mean you're off the hook. Rubber hardens, oil goes off, and anodes corrode whether the boat ran or not. If you can't remember the last time it was serviced, that's your answer.

Service slots are filling fast. Don't wait until launch week.

Why 300 hours is the one most boaters get wrong: https://zurl.co/cwLz9

Your Mercury runs on two service clocks: hours and time. Whichever one hits the threshold first is the one you book. The 100-hour service is your annual baseline, and the 300-hour service is the one most boaters skip and the one that protects your powerhead.

Just a quick look around the shop before the day really gets going. Boats in the yard, a bit of Port Moody morning light, and those quiet few minutes before everything starts moving.
