Ponoka Industrial Airport is a non-profit serving the community with medical transport, including STARS, emergency response, public safety, wildfire response, regional access and economic activity. Last year there were 147 AHS landings and 7 STARS landings. It is also approved as a CANPASS airport!

Thank you to the board for providing me with a tour today and for sharing the vision and future needs for this essential asset in Ponoka.

Yesterday we enjoyed watching the skies as the Canadian Armed Forces Skyhawks Parachute Team practised at the Labrie Field.

The SkyHawks are the Canadian Armed Forces parachute demonstration team and Canada's only military parachute display team. Founded in 1971, the team is composed of Regular Force and Reserve Force members from a variety of military occupations.

The SkyHawks perform at air shows across Canada and internationally. Their demonstrations showcase precision parachuting, teamwork, discipline, and professionalism while promoting the Canadian Armed Forces and connecting with the audience.

Ponoka Airport Breakfast/Brunch/Lunch
We’re still on — and we’re extending into the noon hour!
The rain is starting to clear and we’re rolling right through lunch at the Ponoka Regional Airport.
Come out and enjoy a hot breakfast (or lunch!) with pancakes, sliced ham, scrambled eggs, and fresh coffee.
Bring the kids — the airplane train is running, and there’s plenty to see with classic cars and aircraft out on the ramp.
It’s a great chance to get out of the house, support the airport, and enjoy a laid-back morning as the weather improves.
